Our Merlot fruit comes from two blocks atop a knoll in the famed Hyde Vineyard, where harvests typically yield less than two tons per acre. It’s a youthful wine that’s invitingly approachable, while still offering the richness and decadence we love.
The 2012 Buccella Merlot is a voluptuous and compelling wine. Aromas of black plum and raspberry jump out of the glass and mingle with hints of sweet tarragon and anise. The wine is full and lush in the mouth, with fresh flavors of raspberry, wild strawberry and cocoa. The finish is soft with lingering reminders of black fruit and a hint of clove.
